A rigorous placebo-controlled study conducted at Prakruti Hospital, Kalwa, Maharashtra, India evaluated the effects of Ashwagandha root extract on sleep quality and anxiety.
During the study, the sleep quality, total time in bed, sleep efficiency, and anxiety levels of the participants were monitored over 10 weeks. The study included 60 participants, randomly assigned to either the Ashwagandha group or the placebo group.Â
It turns out that the participants who took 300 mg of Ashwagandha root extract twice daily for 10 weeksshowed a significant improvement in sleep quality and a reduction in anxiety levels compared to those in the placebo group.
